How this works

This is a journey about a story, a story which joins travellers with locals in a dance through time.

Weary of the cut-throat Gold Route, an old Scribe withdrew to a forgotten village and the ruin of its watermill. He mended the wheel and let the water run; from rags and esparto the mazos beat him paper; and on that first paper he drew no tale but a plan — the plan of a loom. With the loom he wove all the rest: the theatre, the desk, the chart, the crier. He is no longer alone — his timeless artifacts stand about him. Now, by night, the mill flows and the compound glows, and the loom weaves to the sound of the caravaners’ own stories, called for and finished before dawn. Here is how it works — and how it begins the story of your own journey, whether you share it or keep it yours.

So — here is the loom. Pick a pattern and pull the thread: one, two, three.

This is where our story starts — a story behind every result.

How the workshop works

From a single scroll, the loom weaves your journey — and carries it forward to you.

The Scribe kept the shape of every good journey on a scroll, and set a weaving into each one. The loom reads the scroll and weaves it forward through time — into your cities, your days, your pace — until the pattern becomes a plan you can travel.

How does the loom weave through time to you? Plan a trip — pick any pattern and test it, one, two, three.

📜07 · El Telar — The Loom (Markdown→Render)— open the scroll and read

Markdown → render + pattern-driven instancing. Weaves cloth (content display, cards, sections) that the Theatre hangs.

El Telar (The Loom): I am the Loom, the weaver of threads into cloth. The millstone brings me flour; I do not bake bread — I weave fabric. Each thread is a strand of what is known, each pass of the shuttle brings it into cloth. The pattern is set by the Pattern Book: this weave for a trip card, that weave for an experience grid. I turn the raw material of information into the finished garment of display.

Every journey begins as a written poster — a route, its nights, its cities. The Loom weaves the poster into a living page — right here, without leaving this stage.

📜03 · El Corral de Comedias — The Theatre (Step Sequencer)— open the scroll and read

Step sequencer, synced surfaces (dock/sidebar/content/map), control/admin, participation. The stage where the experience unfolds.

El Corral de Comedias (The Theatre): I am the Theatre, the Corral where the play unfolds. The stage is set, the musicians tune, the audience takes their seats. I call each act in its proper order: the prologue of arrival, the scenes of discovery, the interlude of rest, the climax of booking, the epilogue of farewell. The stagehands — the Dock, the Sidebar, the Map — move at my cue. No scene begins before its time, and no traveller misses their entrance.

A traveller may read a city as a scroll, or walk it step by step before ever setting out. The same stage, two curtains.

🎭The Theatre

The same stage, two curtains — read Granada as a scroll, or walk it in steps.

📜20 · El Scriptorium — The Scriptorium (Scribes Workspace)— open the scroll and read

Scribes workspace — authoring. The room where documents are written, illuminated, and bound.

El Scriptorium (The Scriptorium): I am the Scriptorium, the quiet room where the scribes work by candlelight. The master scribe composes the charter; the apprentice copies the route. Stacks of parchment wait on the shelves: notes for the market, drafts for the theatre, templates for the loom. I am the birthplace of every page, every trip, every experience. The world sees the Theatre; I write the script.

The scribes' leather desk: one notebook where posters are edited, woven, and kept. Weaving asks for a name in the ledger — take a seat.

📖The Desk

One notebook, many stacks — where every poster on these pages was written.

Take a seat at the desk →

✎ Open a fresh page in the notebook and write three lines.

📜13 · La Balanza — The Scale (Commerce Engine)— open the scroll and read

Commerce engine — tariff → price · fairness. Server-side price recompute, signed webhooks, checkout. Client price never trusted.

La Balanza (The Scale): I am the Scale, the honest balance that weighs every transaction. The merchant brings his goods; I tell their true worth. I do not trust the merchant's word — I weigh for myself. The Steelyard sets the rate; I execute the weighing. Every coin, every grain, every measure passes through my pans. I am the guardian of fairness: neither buyer nor seller cheats while I hold the beam.

The scribe's chart lays a trip's cost bare — per person, what is included, what a group pays. Nothing weighed in the dark.

🐫The Caravan Chart

Every price on these pages is drawn on the same chart. Open any trip and read the chart itself — and see how each local craftsperson keeps their own trade, while the mill keeps only a small, measured toll for the grinding.
