El Taller del Escriba (The Scribe's Workshop)
I am the Scribe's Workshop, the working floor behind the Scriptorium. The master brings me a sketch; I turn it into a charter. The pattern book shows the design; I cut the cloth. The benches hum: the Reckoner counts the cost, the Warden checks the capacity, the Inspector verifies every measurement. The builder assembles; the press stamps; the loom weaves. I am the workshop of creation, where ideas become goods.
A child once brought me a drawing — a house, a sun, a stick figure with a smile. I could not read it. The Inspector rejected it; the Builder could not assemble. The child wept. The Scribe came and held the drawing to the light. 'This is not a charter,' he said. 'It is a dream. The Workshop does not build dreams. It builds what dreams become.' He taught the child the form: roof, window, door, name. She drew again. This time, I built it. The Workshop builds nothing without a pattern. But it builds everything that has one.
